Guillermo Kuitca

Bio

Guillermo Kuitka was born in 1961 in Buenos Aires. He started studying art at the age of nine at Ahuva Szlimowicz´s studio.
He specialized in painting, drawing and also in scenography from plays that had been presented at San Martin Theatre and Colon Theatre, both in Buenos Aires.
He had his first solo show at the age of nine and, ever since, he has been part of more than 50 exhibitions in museums and contemporary art galleries all over the world. It is worth to mention The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), Kunsthalle Basel, Atchugarry Museum of Contemporary Art in Uruguay and Kunsthaus Pasquart Biel, Switzerland.
He integrates public and private art collections around the world such as Metropolitan Museum of Art y el MoMA de Nueva York, The Art Institute of Chicago, la Tate Gallery de Londres, el Museo de Arte Reina Sofía de Madrid, y los más destacados en Argentina.
