PINTA MIAMI is making a tribute to Celia Sredni de Birbragher, Founder and Director of Art Nexus Magazine, for her work of more than forty years promoting Latin American art.
Celia Sredni de Birbragher is a Colombian editor, researcher, collector, artist, critic, leader and entrepreneur who support the arts in Latin American for over 40 years. She holds a BA in Fine Arts from the Universidad de los Andes, and since 1976 have been the founder, editor and publisher of ArtNexus. In 1997, Mrs. Birbragher created the ArtNexus Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports, among other projects, the ArtNexus Documentation Center based in Bogota.

The decisive participation of Sofía Ímber in the development of journalism, art criticism and Venezuelan cultural institutions make her one of the most influential figures in the contemporary history of the country and Latin America. With an attractive personality, inimitably controversial style, radical and exemplary commitment to work and critical acuity when interpreting creative and social processes, she carried out the necessary transformations to bring the country's museums to a level of quality marked by excellence in the formation of collections and communicational and educational activities.
